My thoughts fall lazily upon the wind
Taken by the tide, again
The rain, the rise of pain
The heart of the stillness
Unchanging, undesired
The bridge of steel
Runs through these hills and valleys
Where the sea thrives on light
But you have gone from the lighted paths
And therefore, I cannot follow
I take the long road
Even though you tried to take the glow from my eyes
But memories are all I have of you
The echoes in the hollows, in the dark places
Is where you hate me
For no love have you for me
So take your reasons and I’ll take mine
My thoughts fall lazily upon the wind
It’s no longer as cold.
